XDS is a registered private company which began its operations in Zimbabwe in 2012. The company has established a comprehensive information bureau that has consumer and commercial credit profiles from major credit providrs and public records within the Zimbabwe market. To date, we have over 125 data contributing credit providers and this database continues to grow as new credit providers are being added to the bureau. Today XDS services credit providers across all sectors from financial services, retail, agriculture and the public sector.
In addition to the credit information services, XDS has a specialised authentication services offering that provides information and background checks for risk management processes. XDS has a suite of background checks that can be conducted in Africa and internationally.
The company partnered with XDS (Pty) South Africa who are the technical partners in the joint venture. XDS South Africa was founded in 1999 and is one of the three largest credit bureaus within South Africa. It is a Pan-African company that has operations in Ghana as well as Nigeria positioning us as a uniquely African company with a solid international track record.
XDS has had the experience of handling confidential data through our IT infrastructure as well as the data security standards that match the international standards. It is XDS's intention to be recognised as a trusted custodian for information especially that which has been provided by credit providers. To that end, a robust data security policy has been put in place which outlines the rules to be followed when handling and storing data that has been collected from data providers. As a result, all the data entrusted to XDS is secure, safe and guarded against any misuse by internal or external parties.
